Dr. Emily McIntosh
Dr. Emily McIntosh is originally from Arab, Alabama. She attended The University of Alabama-Birmingham for both her undergraduate and dental studies. While in dental school, Dr. McIntosh was active in Student Government, Psi Omega Dental Society, and was selected as an ambassador to prospective dental students. in 1997, she was awarded a fellowship with the Civitan's Children's Research Center. Upon graduation of dental school, she became a clinical instructor in the Oral Diagnosis Clinic at UAB.
In 2001, Dr. McIntosh opened Madison Family Dentistry. She is actively involved with the Madison Rotary Club and has served as President. In 2009, she was selected as the Madison Rotarian of the year. She is also a member of the Better Business Bureau of North Alabama. Dr. McIntosh holds memberships in several dental organizations including American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Eighth District Dental Society.
Outside of the office, Dr. McIntosh enjoys spending time with her family, travel, and civic projects with the Madison Rotary Club. The McIntoshs are members of Asbury United Methodist Church. They have two sons Alex and Ian, a dog Bailey, and a cat Ivan.
Dr. Paul McIntosh
Dr. Paul McIntosh is originally from Dothan, Alabama. He attended Wake Forest University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with Honors in Chemistry. He completed his dental education at The University of Alabama-Birmingham graduating with Honors. Dr. McIntosh joined Madison Family Dentistry in 2002.
While in dental school, Dr. McIntosh was the recipient of several awards for clinical and academic achievement. He has received awards from The American College of Prosthodontists, The Academy of General Dentistry, Birmingham District Dental Society, Thomas P. Hinman national dental meeting, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon national dental society. He was also awarded a research fellowship from the National Institute of Health in 1997.
Dr. McIntosh is a current member of the American Dental Association, the Alabama Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Eighth District Dental Society. When he is not practicing dentistry, Dr. McIntosh enjoys family time, travel, and spending time on Smith Lake. The McIntosh's are members of Asbury United Methodist Church. They have two sons, Alex and Ian.
